Battlefield: Bad Company 2 -Vietnam review

The Vietnam expansion for Battlefield Bad Company was just released yesterday and its going strong so far. There is alot to love about the Vietnam expansion. For one, the music in the game really takes you back in time if you've been there. The maps all look great with alot of detail and are very well made, for example half of "Hill 137" is completely destroyed by what looks like fires and bombings. All the burning embers flying around make it really something to look at and it brings you in the world. The weapons are also well made, both looks and firing seem to fit the guns perfectly and the vehicles especially the HUEY are very fun to drive. Only one day out though and there are already a ton of glitches in the game. When I first started playing I had unlocked all the weapons already and was disappointed because I though you weren't going to earn them-you just got them. But I played again today and all of the unlocked weapons were gone and its back to stage one. This would be good if the XP you earn actually contributed to your level because as of now whenever you finish a game you start out in negative XP. The same amount you just earned so when it adds up its just a big fat ZERO. One last thing I have a problem with is that it seems like no map is good for sniping, its either to close quarters to snipe in or theres too much obstacles in the way.

Other then those problems the game is still great and I definitely recommend it. Its well worth your money and you'll have a great time playing it.

Battlefield Play 4 Free UPDATE

Ok so I finally got the Beta key for Battlefield Play 4 Free and its very laggy and buggy at the moment. Starting the game in full screen won't show the cursor and gets very frustrating. A simple solution for this problem is to start the game in windowed mode and when your in-game press Alt-Enter and you'll be brought to full screen. Other then that its just laggy sometimes but the game looks great and it really does feel like your playing a Battlefield game.

Black Ops "First Strike"

Call of Duty Black Ops is going to have their first map pack "First Strike" on February 1, 2011. The new maps include:

Discovery - Antarctic German research station, abandoned from World War II.

Kowloon – Inspired from the single-player campaign based off of Kowloon city in China. It's a rooftop map.

Stadium – Hockey rink in northeastern United States.

Berlin Wall – Takes place at Checkpoint Charlie. Is a battle between East and West Berlin.

Ascension - Zombie map.

The "First Strike" map pack will be 1200 micosoft points and probably $15 for the ps3.

Battlefield Bad Company 2

EA Games has just released Battlefield Bad Company 2 on the iTouch, iPhone, and iPad. The graphics are looking pretty good for an itouch game and it even feels like BFBC2 when you play it. There are a bunch of problems so far but I don't know if its just me. When ever I try to play campaign its crashes which is disappointing since I would really love to try it. The multiplayer if far too laggy for me to play well and I get connection errors every once and a while. I'm not sure if its just my itouch or what but I hope it gets fixed if its the game, and its possible since it just got released today. I really hope this is only a temporary problem because the game looks and feels great. Even the menu and music resembles that of the console one except the music is just a little bit different.

Right now the game is only $0.99! Get it while its cheap and you know a mobile version of BFBC2 isn't going to be the cheap forever. Even if it does have problems now I'm sure it'll get fixed ASAP and you can't turn down the price now.

Battlefield Play 4 Free

Battlefield Play 4 Free is a free to play FPS shooter. From what I've seen so far I believe it works like Combat Arms or Crossfire where there are servers to pick from and a store where you can buy weapons. The game is only in its beta stage and I haven't gotta key for it yet but as soon as I do I'll write more about it. The graphics aren't like Battlefield Bad Company but they're pretty good for a free 2 play FPS though. Its being made by EA so it does seem promising and maybe it can even be the next Counter Strike. So far I've seen tanks, helicopters, armored cars, and even a jet but whether thats playable I'm not too sure. Theres only a little bit of gameplay from the trailer in first-person and there isn't any HUD (heads up display) showing so there isn't much too see.
This will hopefully turn out to be a great game and if you want to try it go ahead and click here to sign up for a beta key, your going to have to wait for a while though.

Cut the Rope: Holiday Gift

Cut the Rope looks like the next hottest game for the itouch/iphone platform. This is very channeling but also pretty simple at the same time. You basically have a little cute looking ummm..thing named "Om Nom" that only eats candy. What you have to do is cut ropes, pop bubbles, and blow air to get the candy to your pets mouth. The more challenging part is that there are 3 stars and you don't need the get them but they get harder and harder to get with each level. To get three stars on the level you actually have to collect all 3 stars which is sort of a new concept since most games give you stars based on how you did on the level. Cut the Rope is a great combination of puzzle and...fun, which seems to be lacking in alot of puzzle games.

Right now there is a holiday version of "Cut the rope" and is totally free as the word gift implies. Its a very well made game and if you really enjoy this holiday gift then you should get it for a cheap price of only $0.99 like most of the best apps there are.

Veggie Samurai

Veggie Samurai may at first seem like a cheap knockoff of Fruit Ninja, and well it kinda is. Except its not a cheap one its actually really fun. When I first saw Veggie Samurai I just thought wow just a bad attempt to get money from another popular app. Until today where its free for a limited time and I decided to download it to see what its like. So far I haven't put it down, its extremely addicting and very well made with nice looking graphics it being just food anyways it wouldn't really matter. Veggie Samurai has many different game modes to keep you interested including Samurai, Harmony, Chaos, Sort, Match, and Training each having a different goal to keep you playing. It also has rewards you for doing combos like cutting 3 or more with one cut and others like that.

Over all Veggie Samurai is a great game even though its not exactly original its definitely well made.
If your thinking about getting this then I suggest you get it now because it free right now but not for long so get it while you can.

Ultra Deep

Ultra Deep is a very addictive doodle art styled game. You basically drop down while trying to avoid obstacles that kill you. You goal is to get as deep as possible and collect as much diamonds as you can which you can use to but items and various upgrades. The art style is like the one in the popular games doodle jump, it looks like a piece of paper and someone just drew on it which I think looks great. You will find it very addicting just trying to get as many diamonds as you can and going deep and deeper but that when it starts to get a little bit boring. I went down so deep (hoping the background will change again as it has done before) that I actually wanted to die because its just been so long I didn't even want to play anymore. That is the one big problem, it just doesn't get any harder and once you got it down then it become too easy. One more problem is that it takes forever to collect enough diamonds to get something you like, most things cost 2,500 and you have to collect each individually. At this point you realize its a way they can easily make money. You can get 5,000 for just 99 cents and 15,000 for $1.99. It just takes too much time to collect that much and thats why it seems so cheap for so many diamonds.

Over all its a great game and I really recommend it especially since its free now for a limited time so grab it while you still can.
You can click here to check it out.

Total War: Shogun 2

So if you haven't heard already there will be a much need Shogun 2 coming out March 15, 2011. Much needed because if your a Total War fan then you've probably wanted a Shogun 2 or a new Rome for a while and those old graphics just don't cut it these days. Well Shogun 2 has great looking graphics and the animations look better then ever. Just like Empire, Shogun will have navel battles too not sure how that works but I think you'll be seeing some of those giant almost castle like ships on the sea. Something thats missing so far is...Ninjas. Yea they didn't exactly get along too well with the Samurai but wouldn't it be cool to control an elite squad of NINJAS?! Yes, thats the answer. The answer is yes. Oh and if you still don't know by now, noob, the Total War series is an action RTS which is where you control an army usually looking from above them.

If you want to know more go ahead and click here for the site.
